Starting a Walther MPL inspired build, but measurements of the MPL would be helpful; i.e. upper, bolt, springs, bolt rod, etc. If I can't get the measurements, will try to get as close as possible without. Have read what I could find and watched several videos on YouTube from "Forgotten Weapons" and "TFB" to get as many specs as possible.

My build will be a closed bolt, no folding stock and will have an AR trigger group and grip.
Please, add what you can; i.e. pictures, links, specs for this firearm, no matter how significant. Advice also helps.
Going to start with rectangular tubing and round tubing for the upper receiver. Probably black pipe and and a 5/8" square piece of 4140 for the bolt.
Will add pics of my work as it progresses.
Cheers

The original receiver for the Sten was a short length of car exhaust pipe, of suitable diameter, the recoil spring was reportedly from an old bed.
What about using a bolt from a 9mm AR conversion, as you're already using the FCG from the AR, it would make sense, as they are designed to work together.
