Can you guys post some 1:1 scans of your 1911 frame jigs? I want to put together a book of printable templates so people can easily make their own jigs instead of having to work from blueprints or spending a lot of money for one. I know not all jigs work for all frames so if you note what frame worked with your jig I could list under each template what frames it will work with.

The layout would be something like this:

1911 80% jig #1
(scan of jig here)
works with:
Sarco 80% Frame

1911 80% jig #2
(scan of jig here)
works with:
Hellfire Armory 80% Frame

I think this would be a good resource and if you needed a jig you could just find it in the book, print it out, and glue it to a piece of sheet metal or wood.

Yes,that might even be easier than using transfer punches off a complete frame.

You would need something to get exact scale, like registration marks for printing so it sizes exactly. A quarter would do,or piece of a ruler?
