Yup. RT advertised for less so they matched it. We got lucky!

A small refund will be coming shortly.

Mech warrior,

Will trunions and tubes be available for purchase by folks who did not participate in the Group Buy? I have one of the Apex kits that I purchased before I knew about the Group Buy. Also, any ideas about availability of barrels?

Thanks, and looking forward to hearing how everyone's build goes,

David

Actually, to be honest, APEX gets the credit for spotting the better deal and passing it too us! We got lucky with that and they contacted me as everything was going down.

ETA on the difference.....very soon. Some have opted too use it towards the tubes i make or the FCG that WILL be coming out shortly...It's yours so it your call.

Guys,

I am sorry I am getting to this effort late.  The last three years have been tough for keeping the bills paid.  I am finally getting my head above water.

SARCO has a Black Friday sale on CZ26 kits. Receiver, barrel and trunion are torch cut.  I went through the thread, found the receiver blank and the trunion.  Who has barrels?  I like the idea of a 16 inch carbine, but I could live with a pistol.

I look forward to hearing about the forthcoming FCG.

Thanks,
..Phil

FCG coming very soon!

I got it done, it is reliable. I am checking into having the sear/ disconnector machined.....i made it out of 3 pieces welded together and i fiddled with it 4 or 5 times too get it correct. Machining them from a solid piece would be the way too go for sale too the public.

Soon!

Hello guys.
I found this site and thread after buying a parts kit and looking for info about the sa.26, figures right?

Anyway I look forward to reading about your builds and hope to take advantage of the parts that some of you are making for the build. I will be interested in a barrel and tube  for sure and any other parts i might need.

On the barrel I do have a question I see the SA was sold as a 7.62x25 and a 9mm is it nothing more than a barrel swap? I know on the cz52 pistols chambered in 7.62x25 there were replacement barrels to convert to 9mm. Same mags and all. I would be interested in a pair of barrels if this is the case.

Bad news......its not that simple. Every other gun it has been but NOT this one. The 23 and 25 were 9mm and the 24 and 26 were 7.62x25 and the differences seem minor but they affect everything major!

I started my 26 with that very intent cause a 9mm barrel was all i could get at the time......i could not get it working too save my ass. I changed several things, ejector, extractor......just would not eject an empty 9mm.

The other differences are the 7.62x25 mag well is angled and the 9mm version is straight.....

anyway, my hammer fired build will be up soon, it is in 7.62x25 now.

I'm doing the barrels. They will be available soon. Just need to make an adjustment to them so they are set up to work with the trunnions and tubes everyone is getting. Mech has the test barrel right now and I need to get his feedback on them to make the changes. We do know the prexis barrel does not work without changes.

I will be doing the factory size and a 16 inch one. Nothing special on them just standard barrels.

I will hopefully be running them shortly. Just want to verify we got it right before i start cranking them off. Let me know what size you are looking for and as soon as I get the specs I need to change from Mech and it's good i will get them rolling off the line.

Right now the first off the line will be the 7.62x25. If we can get the 9mm to work on these then will start working on them.

I am looking for a 16" in 7.62 for now, If the 9mm issues get figured out then I will be looking for one of those as well.

Will the barrels be rifled and chambered blanks or will they be profiled to match the originals?
Any chance of getting one threaded?

phsarge,

Keeping a close eye on this thread and the progress with your barrels. I will be wanting a standard size one for a pistol build in 7.62x25 when they are available. I will be using an original trunion from one of the Royal Tiger kits that had the front and rear intact, so hopefully your barrels will be a drop-in. Thanks for your efforts,

David

My kit arrived today and all I have to say is wow. There must be a place in hell for those who torch these things. I have not dealt with anything torch cut yet and man does it make a mess.

Beyond that the kit appears to be a torched new gun. Looking at the bolt and mags I don't think they saw much if any rounds through them.
It really stinks we can not build these back to their former glory but at least they will be really cool little semi's when done.

The down side is now I want to get building!

Questions.
1. Mech am I buying trunion from you or go to the site you listed earlier in the thread.

2. Do your replacement tubes have the grooves at the front like the originals?

3. I assume I need to remove the rear sight mount from the old tube and have it welded onto the new tube?

4. what will we need to change out for 922r?

Ok got blanks ordered just need the new dimension to make it all work. Still haven't got it yet but hope I will see the original barrel back soon. I will crank them out quick as soon as I get that one back. I will put up another post with a list of those needing barrels. will be in this thread just to keep myself organized.
