My suggestion for shipping is USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate.  The USPS shows a Legal Envelope that measures  9 1/2" x 15" and costs  $4.95 to send anywhere in the U.S.A.   From the drawings I have seen a flat will measure about 13-inches x 7-inches.  This is a flat rate so the price will be the same for any number of flats.  Add a couple of bucks for packing the flats, maybe putting a piece of cardboard on each side of the flat and a wrap of tape, and the shipping cost will be under ten bucks.

If each buyer sends an adhesive label with their address this will make the shipping much easier and will reduce the chance of error.

Some people have said they want more (or fewer) flats than they first posted.  The number you want (and are willing to pay for) is in the confirmed column.  If you would like to confirm that you want a flat please post in this thread.  That way everyone can tell me if I screw up.  Thanks.

I have another suggestion for shipping.  If weaponeer approves USPS flat rate, each buyer can send their self-addressed packing materials with their payment.  This will make it easier for weaponeer to do the shipping.

I will do that. The priority mail envelopes are perfect for this. I have received ak flats in these. However, it is US mail. Anyway as soon as I know the address I'll send payment with a self addressed priority mail envelope. THis should work. Unless an issue with us mail. UPS probably has a similar shipping envelope but the postal service has them for free!
Solidstate, when you have the address, I'll be happy to submit payment. Collectorman

I think weaponeer will post and tell us all where and when to send payment as well as shipping details. Great ideas on the shipping/ packaging, anything we can do to help decrease cost and headache for him i am sure will be appreciated.

Also; a reminder to all who are watching this thread. As stated in the first page of this thread, these will only be offered this 1 time!!!! And that's it. Forever. It is now or never. If you are even considering getting 1 of these flats, "speak now, or forever hold your piece!" There is still time to get on this list.

It isn't just 50. 50 was the minimum number needed to get them at the $50.00 each price. We are there right now. Anyone else wanting 1 or more can still get in.......just post.

This is a group buy. We all are going to purchase these together. Not sure how much longer till the purchase but i am thinking soon. If you are ok with waiting a little bit to make the purchase and watching the thread for the purchasing instructions then reply that you do want 2 of them and you will go on the list.

Also; welcome to the site!! tons of useful info and friendly people.

Solidstate, US priority mail is perfect. Do you  suggest we send payment including the 4.95 for priority shipping? Will the sender be able to get the Priority Mail envelopes required or do we need to send the envelopes along with shipping label and payment? Best, Collector

Weaponeer is the seller and he will post all the conditions of sale and shipping.  My posts are only suggestions to reduce the work weaponeer will have to do.  Weaponeer is doing all of us a huge favor by handling this group buy and I think we should all do as much as we can to to make this buy as easy as possible for him.  If weaponeer chooses to ship by USPS flat-rate envelope, I am assuming the shipping cost will be a few dollars more than the flat-rate price to cover miscellaneous additional costs.

Since I am buying several flats, I am planning on making a cardboard box that will hold my flats and will still fit into the shipping package.  The inside of the box will be the same profile as the flats and the outside will be rectangular without any sharp corners.  I will send all my shipping materials and a filled out address label to weaponeer with my payment.

Is it possible to post another photo of a flat with a ruler in the photo?

Thanks
