I have recently taken an interest in the johnson rifle and started attempting to gather as much information as possible on the rifle and it's parts etc.
After spending the last several days scouring every last corner of the internet I kept running across gun digest's page advertising an exploded diagram for .99 cents! I ordered this .99 cent diagram only to go to download it and get an immediate 404 error saying file doesn't exist.
Now I know some might say this is only 99 cents but the fact remains they sell other products which are SUBSTANTIALLY more expensive than 99 cents and if they cannot even follow through on a 99 cent item well.... I sure wouldn't order a hundred dollar book from them.
Any way long story short I think people should know about this so they don't get nicked for a buck like I did..(and now I have to watch my card for odd activities as well for a few months)
Also if anyone has any specs and diagrams at all of the johnson or old johnson books besides the 1941 manual please let me know.
Once I get my 3d scanner up and working and verify it's accuracy for weapons grade projects I'll be looking for an actual m1941 johnson owner to pay to document all the parts ... (actually i'll probably find at least two owners that way I can verify part dimensionality from item to item)
