Here are some of my oldies:

Here is a Colt Army .38 Special. It's rough, but I like it.

Here is a Colt Army 1860. I love the patina.

Here is my big dollar one. A 1st gen Colt SAA with David F. Clark stamps. The bag is the original sear. It currently has a hare trigger.

Very cool gotta love old cowboy guns. I never have enough money to get into those so mine are all Italian made toys. They are fun but just not as cool as an orig.
Lugers , Broomhandles, and Mauser rifles take all my collector cash.
OH  oh yeah AK's , and Maxxim guns also....
Whats a collector guy to do????

I have a1917  DWM Artillery luger with the original holster that I will take some pics of if I can figure out how to take some good close ups.

I have always considered Lugers to be the most superior,  elegant of pistols. They are sleek and artfully balanced and nearly infallible in combat. I know because I have been shooting these for decades. They have a natural point of aim the 1911 lacks. I can close my eyes after looking at a target, draw any luger and be on target. Not with the other... Not looking to start a debate and everyone has their favorites, but facts are facts and I'm too old listen to lame arguments, like "But I carried a 1911 in combat for years, snivel, snivel." I say too bad for you!

A bit of trivia... The 1911 was nearly passed up in favor of the better designed Luger and would (and should) have been if it were an American manufactured weapon made simple for dumb grunts. I can only imagine with time, evolution and modern technology, how more advanced Lugers would be than the 1911, which is basically the same now as 100 years ago...  an ugly handled brick!

I wondered if it was just me.  I noticed the natural point in a smaller Luger shaped water pistol when I was training my cat to stay off the table and range.  Wanted an Erma Baby Luger .380 real bad when I was in Germany but couldn't afford the IIRC $59.

The next history article will be on the 1895 Nagant pistols.  I have two of them, and I took photos of them already.  one of them is 92 years old and still a great shooter (for a 1895 nagant).

after that I don't know...  maybe one on the 1911 Spanish B 9mm, XP100 in 221 Fireball, Desert Eagle 50 AE, Baby Eagle in 40 S&W.

I don't have a luger or anything really cool with a lot of history.

Most of my rifles are modified.  even my K31 is modified, but some like my L1A1 are highly modified and hardly look like a FAL anymore.

I guess I can add the skorpion, M11/9, and UZI to the list. but it's going to be hard to add really interesting weapons without help from the membership.

Are literary references "cool making"?  I have a 1951 Beretta 418 .25 acp.  It is the model James Bond carried in the first five James Bond novels by Ian Fleming.  They used different ones in the movies.

I thought this thread was where we were supposed to post our gun pix? This is a James River semiauto AKM knockoff. I couldn't get the pic of my Norinco MAK90 to download because it was too big. When I first viewed this thread your pix weren't downloading.

Here's a pic of my Mosin, seeing as it's the thread for posting pics of your guns.
